Kingston is roughly 90 minutes up the Thruway. You drop your dog off once and pick them up trained. There is no credible Board & Train operation in New York City that offers a home environment, 14.5-acre property, a 25' × 50' in-ground pool, and a Master Trainer/Animal Behaviorist — recognized by World's Greatest Television as the World's Greatest Dog Trainer — on-site around the clock. That combination simply doesn't exist in the five boroughs.

Very common — and a smart use of both your time. Many NYC clients coordinate their dog's Board & Train enrollment to coincide with travel for business or vacation, family visits, or home renovations or moves. Your dog returns home trained while you were away.

Clients have traveled from New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Rhode Island, Virginia, New Hampshire, and beyond — as distant as Barbados and Puerto Rico — to enroll their dogs in our program. We always tell a prospective client to never let distance dissuade them from choosing the best dog trainer, they are making an investment in their best friend for 10 and more years. The reputation of the program and the quality of results make the trip worthwhile. If you're coming from out of state we recommend coordinating accommodations in Kingston or the Hudson Valley for drop-off and pick-up days — it's a beautiful area to explore.

Transport arrangements are not a standard part of our program. We recommend clients make the drive personally — the drop-off is an important first step in the process and allows Jim to conduct a brief intake assessment of your dog in person.
